Customer Onboarding Engineer, Security & Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide customers through the complete onboarding process for SIEM/XDR/MDR platforms, ensuring efficient and successful delivery.

• Set up and verify Microsoft security services, such as Defender XDR and Purview.

• Integrate and onboard various data sources (identity, endpoint, cloud, SaaS, network logs) into security platforms.

• Develop and sustain automation workflows utilizing Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, or comparable SOAR tools.

• Collaborate closely with customers to collect requirements, confirm configurations, and ensure readiness for go-live.

• Generate and update customer-oriented documentation, including: As-Built documentation, Onboarding runbooks, Data source inventories, and Status trackers.

• Assist in compliance and audit procedures by preparing necessary evidence and documentation (FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, etc.).

• Work collaboratively with SOC, engineering, and compliance teams.

• Provide status updates and reporting to both customers and internal stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in onboarding customers to SIEM, XDR, MDR, or security operations platforms.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Defender XDR and/or Microsoft Purview.

• Background in U.S. federal or highly regulated environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of log ingestion and data integration, covering identity, endpoint, and cloud logs.

• Experience in producing customer-facing technical documentation.

• Capacity to operate independently in a customer-facing delivery capacity.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Microsoft & Azure, Microsoft Defender suite (Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud), Microsoft Purview (audit logging, compliance, data governance), Microsoft Sentinel, Azure AD / Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL for log analysis and troubleshooting.
