Customer Integration Engineer – f/m/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Conduct data migrations from customer legacy systems (such as IBM DOORS, Polarion, and internal databases) into Certivity, encompassing schema mapping, validation, and post-migration reconciliation.

• Develop and sustain API connectors between Certivity and customer services.

• Collaborate directly (typically in a remote setting) with customer IT, engineering, and regulatory teams to define, plan, and implement integrations.

• Utilize AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in your daily routine to work effectively within our Python and Java codebases.

• Manage each customer technical integration comprehensively, from the initial kickoff through to the final handover.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in backend software engineering.

• Proven experience with data migrations across systems, including schema mapping, data validation, and reconciliation.

• Proficient in either Python or Java backend development skills (we use both; proficiency in one and a willingness to work in the other using AI tooling support is acceptable).

• Familiarity with integrating REST APIs and working with relational or document databases (such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar).

• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Docker.

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, at a level sufficient to lead a technical discussion with a customer IT lead without prior preparation. C1 level or higher.
