This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Take charge of the technical adoption process for a portfolio of enterprise clients, overseeing onboarding, configuration, and integration of Rabbit into their GCP architecture until they achieve their first measurable savings.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact when issues arise, conducting investigations, debugging, and resolving problems related to data anomalies, pipelines, and BigQuery cost inquiries.
• Provide guidance to customers on their GCP cost strategies, including BigQuery reservation models, slot management, and billing mechanics, while illustrating how Rabbit integrates within this framework.
• Facilitate technical Q&A sessions, troubleshooting workshops, and hands-on training with customer teams.
• Communicate feedback from the field back to the Product and Engineering teams; you will possess the most customer context, allowing the core team to enhance their offerings based on your insights.
• When the existing product cannot meet a customer's requirement, design a custom solution to address the gap, with the aim of incorporating that need into the platform rather than maintaining isolated solutions.
• Minimum of 5 years in a technical, customer-facing position such as Customer/Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, or Technical Account Management, with substantial hands-on engineering experience rather than merely advisory roles.
• Extensive knowledge of BigQuery, including slots, reservations, pricing models, INFORMATION_SCHEMA, and query optimization. This is a strict requirement, and we will assess your expertise.
• Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with backend code in any programming language, sufficient to integrate, script, and debug within a customer's environment.
• Practical experience with GCP, having managed production workloads on Google Cloud.
• Possess a customer-facing mindset that enables you to conduct technical discussions with enterprise teams independently, without the need for support from an Account Executive.
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) in actual production environments, beyond just demonstrations.
• Ability to work autonomously in a small team with no middle management, taking ownership of customer outcomes.
• Strong advantage: background in GCP cost management, FinOps, or cloud billing optimization.
• Knowledge of BigQuery reservation models, slot pricing, and workload management.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, particularly using Terraform on GCP.
• Maintain a healthy work-life balance.
• Financial initiatives that support physical and mental well-being and green commuting, including provisions for remote work, commuting, and eyeglasses (dependent on location).
• Continuous training and learning opportunities with designated yearly learning hours during work, including language learning (English and German).
• Engage in social activities for all employees, including team-building events, company breakfasts, holiday parties, sports events, professional meetups, and darts tournaments.
