Customer Development Specialist – Great Lakes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and oversee long-lasting relationships with essential veterinary practices to identify needs and provide recommendations to meet sales objectives.

• Collaborate with designated sales districts to formulate business plans, foster leads, and implement strategies in targeted accounts for maximum sales growth.

• Utilize a multi-channel strategy to remotely engage specific customers with tailored content and offers through Veeva CRM.

• Maintain comprehensive technical expertise of Elanco’s product range to effectively spearhead new product introductions and brand initiatives.

• Achieve all sales targets and primary sales metrics to ensure success in the territory and enhance customer satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree or High School Diploma / GED with equivalent experience.

• Previous experience in inside sales or within the animal health sector.

• Aptitude for Customer Value Selling (CVS).

• Proficiency in digital tools, including CRM (Salesforce/Veeva) and MS Teams.

• Must reside in the Great Lakes region (Michigan) to qualify.

• Preferred qualifications include an undergraduate degree (BS/BA) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Capability to strategically identify and resolve customer issues using Elanco’s organizational resources.

• Extensive knowledge of the Companion Animal market, including customers and products.

• Demonstrated history of providing innovative customer solutions.

• Willingness to travel 5-10% as needed.
