This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Create and oversee comprehensive cybersecurity curricula, which encompasses courses, modules, lessons, learning pathways, and training programs.
• Establish learning objectives, competencies, prerequisites, and measurable outcomes.
• Ensure alignment of curriculum content, instructional activities, and assessments.
• Utilize instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, or similar frameworks, along with principles of adult learning.
• Design instructor-led, hands-on, scenario-based, laboratory, workshop, tabletop, and blended-learning experiences.
• Incorporate SME content across various areas including Cyber Governance, Cyber Operations, Digital Forensics, Law Enforcement Integration, and other technical fields.
• Create and maintain course outlines, lesson plans, instructor and student guides, presentations, exercises, laboratory instructions, case studies, scenarios, job aids, and reference materials.
• Develop and implement assessments for knowledge, skills, and performance evaluation.
• Assess training effectiveness and analyze results from evaluations.
• Identify learning gaps, evaluate student performance, and suggest improvements to the curriculum.
• Establish and uphold curriculum quality assurance standards.
• Perform regular reviews of instructional materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, relevance, clarity, and alignment.
• Maintain documentation for the curriculum, including traceability, revision histories, and curriculum maps.
• Create integrated cybersecurity training pathways that connect technical disciplines and support organizational and partner-nation cybersecurity goals.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Formal training or professional development in adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, curriculum development, and learning assessment.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in developing, designing, and maintaining technical or cybersecurity-related curriculum.
• Experience in transforming subject matter expert (SME) content into structured, learner-centered training.
• Possession of one or more certifications such as CompTIA CTT+, ATD Instructional Design, or similar.
• Experience in developing or adapting cybersecurity or technical curricula for international training or engagement.
• Work experience in delivering training in low-resource environments.
• Ability to modify SME-developed training materials for non-technical audiences, especially in law enforcement, government, policy, and governance sectors.
• Experience in briefing leadership and decision-makers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to produce professional reports, training materials, policy documents, briefings, and other program deliverables for government and interagency audiences.
• Willingness and ability to travel OCONUS (Bahamas) for short-term temporary duty assignments.
