CTO – SaaS, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Establish the technology vision and strategic priorities in line with the company’s overall objectives.

• Lead a technology organization consisting of around 25 individuals, organized into various teams and Tech Leads.

• Manage teams and their leaders, cultivating a strong culture of performance, feedback, and accountability.

• Advance development methodologies to leverage the potential of AI and automation more effectively.

• Engage in product and business discussions that extend beyond just technological aspects.

• Shape the growth of the Tech organization and facilitate the development of new expertise areas, particularly in platform and cybersecurity.

• Supervise the objectives and budget of the Tech function.

• Actively take part in the executive committee and contribute to the company’s strategic decisions.

• Own and refine the technology strategy while evolving the Tech organization.

• Promote the integration of AI-related practices to enhance productivity and expedite product development.

• Report directly to the CEO and serve as a member of the executive committee.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have previously held a role as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or in a senior Tech leadership position with substantial management and strategic responsibilities.

• You possess experience in a SaaS startup or scale-up setting that has encountered significant growth and scaling challenges.

• You are adept at leading a Tech organization made up of multiple teams and managers.

• You approach technology with a business and product focus, rather than solely through architectural or engineering perspectives.

• You thrive in a demanding management environment centered on objectives, performance assessments, feedback, and accountability.

• You have a deep understanding of current AI-driven changes in software development and can assist in their implementation throughout an organization.

• You know how to operate effectively in a highly autonomous and distributed setting, utilizing communication methods suitable for remote work.

• You are professionally fluent in both French and English.

• There is no specific academic background or institution required.

• Experience in a SaaS company that has achieved significant scaling is advantageous.

• Experience in an international context is a plus.

• Experience within a multi-product organization is a plus.

• Familiarity with platform or cybersecurity challenges is a plus.

• Entrepreneurial experience or a background in building products from the ground up is a plus.
