Chief Product and Technology Officer

📋 Description

• Direct Athos Commerce's product and technology strategy by transforming commercial goals into product direction, investment choices, and consistent implementation.

• Supervise Product Management, Engineering, System Architecture, Platform Operations, Product Design, Data, and Information Security.

• Spearhead integration across Athos Commerce's established commerce platforms.

• Develop a cohesive product and technology vision that aligns with customer requirements, market opportunities, and business growth objectives.

• Manage customer discovery, product roadmaps, lifecycle management, and prioritization of investments.

• Drive platform integration and modernization while ensuring product delivery, enhancing technical architecture, and addressing technical debt.

• Enhance product implementation and self-service configuration for merchants and agency partners.

• Lead global engineering teams while ensuring robust development practices, accountability, and execution.

• Oversee architecture, cloud infrastructure, platform operations, security, compliance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Engage with merchants, agency partners, and prospects; collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance on positioning, pricing, launches, and customer commitments.

• Recruit, mentor, and cultivate senior Product and Technology leaders across distributed teams.

• Identify and introduce AI and machine learning capabilities to the market and incorporate AI into Product and Engineering workflows.

• Manage budgets, workforce planning, vendor relationships, technology investments, risk management, and communicate priorities and risks to executive leadership and the board.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior leadership experience within a software or SaaS organization, holding direct responsibility for both Product and Engineering functions.

• Proven history of formulating and executing product and technology strategies that yield measurable customer value and commercial success.

• Direct experience in building ecommerce search, product discovery, merchandising, or personalization products; experience in marketing technology is advantageous.

• Strong technical acumen in software architecture, development practices, cloud infrastructure, platform reliability, scalability, and information security.

• Experience leading intricate platform integrations, technology modernization projects, or organizational transformations while ensuring continuous product delivery.

• Practical knowledge in launching AI and machine learning capabilities and embedding AI into Product and Engineering workflows.

• Solid commercial insight into SaaS business models, including recurring revenue, customer retention, margins, profitability, and cost-to-serve.

• Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and nurturing senior Product and Engineering leadership teams.

• Experience leading distributed teams across various countries, regions, and time zones.

• Ability to make and articulate complex trade-offs between business growth, customer commitments, delivery capacity, and long-term platform sustainability.

• Strong financial and operational management expertise, encompassing departmental budgets, workforce planning, and strategic technology investments.

• Exceptional executive communication skills, capable of engaging customers, agency partners, technical teams, executive leadership, and board members.

• Proven ability to collaborate across commercial and technical functions to achieve shared business objectives.
