This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist civil society organizations in enhancing the design, execution, and sustainability of programmatic models related to community sponsorship and other protective pathways.
• Perform collaborative assessments of institutions and organizations.
• Recognize organizational strengths, operational and programmatic deficiencies, sustainability challenges, and key support areas.
• Create and provide customized organizational strengthening and accompaniment guidance.
• Formulate practical action plans and follow-up processes aligned with organizational needs and capacities.
• Aid organizations in co-developing and refining their organizational processes, tools, and workflows.
• Advise organizations as the agreed-upon improvements are put into effect.
• Assist organizations in structuring their community engagement strategies.
• Contribute to the expansion and diversification of the network of civil society organizations involved in community sponsorship.
• Perform outreach, relationship-building, and initial engagement with prospective new organizations.
• Work collaboratively with the Brazil team and relevant specialists to ensure organizational support aligns with strategic priorities, approaches, and standards.
• Attend weekly check-ins and additional meetings as necessary.
• Provide written monthly progress updates.
• A minimum of five years of pertinent professional experience.
• Proven experience in supporting the institutional or organizational strengthening of NGOs, civil society organizations, or community-based organizations.
• A university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Social Work, International Relations, Psychology, Law, or another relevant field.
• Experience in designing and implementing customized organizational strengthening and accompaniment processes.
• Capability to conduct collaborative and participatory organizational assessments and translate findings into priorities, recommendations, action plans, and follow-up processes.
• Experience in co-developing or enhancing organizational processes, operational workflows, practical tools, or implementation strategies.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple organizational support processes and work independently within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
• Fluency in Portuguese and strong working proficiency in English, both oral and written.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and interpersonal sensitivity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and SharePoint.
• Experience working within civil society or community-based organizations in institutional development, organizational management, or program implementation is preferred.
• Experience in supporting community engagement, local participation, or community-based approaches is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Brazilian civil society, migration, refugee protection, and/or community sponsorship ecosystem is preferred.
• Consultancy contract for an initial duration of six months.
• Commitment of 40 hours per week.
• Remote work based in Brazil.
• Occasional in-person interactions with organizations, subject to prior agreement.
• Meetings scheduled during regular working hours in Brazil.
