Remotery

Cruise Sales Advisor

Posted 5 days ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

đź“‹ Description

• Provide comprehensive advice and finalize bookings from start to finish.

• - Respond to high-intent inbound inquiries via phone and email from the Globe platform and Emma Cruises' clientele.

• - Quickly establish authentic connections; we aim for you to cultivate long-term relationships with customers.

• - Create itineraries and quotes, and finalize cruise reservations across mainstream, premium, and select luxury lines.

• - Arrange the entire trip when it adds value, including flights, hotels, transfers, and extras, not just the cruise.

• - Manage group bookings (large birthdays, anniversaries, reunions) confidently and accurately.

• Serve as the guest’s trusted liaison.

• - Act as the primary point of contact for your guests throughout their journey—the person they return to, refer friends to, and request by name.

• - Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records—clean documentation, logged conversations, and preferences ensure proper guest care and smooth transitions between advisors.

• - Implement a proactive post-booking service—including pre-cruise communications, price monitoring, and being genuinely helpful before, during, and after the trip.

• - Foster repeat bookings and referrals; focus on nurturing the lifetime relationship with the guest rather than just a single transaction.

• Safeguard the brand's integrity.

• - Provide honest, impartial advice. Our credibility relies on Emma's content and a community of over half a million cruisers; we prioritize the right recommendation over commission.

• - Manage issues and crises calmly, prioritizing the customer’s best interest.

• - Adhere to high accuracy standards regarding fares, cabins, payment schedules, and documentation.

• Collaborate as part of a remote team.

• - Thrive in a fully remote, fast-paced environment; you should be self-directed, disciplined, and trustworthy without constant oversight.

• - Follow the agency's processes and QA standards, and provide honest feedback for improvement.

• - Utilize the Globe platform's data on each customer (wishlists, viewed itineraries, and history) to familiarize yourself before the initial call.

• The Bar.

• We are recruiting the finest cruise advisors in the country and are unapologetic about it. This is a high-paced, high-expectation environment. In return, you will receive something unique: high-quality, unrestricted inbound leads, a genuine community behind every interaction, and a rapidly growing agency to advance with.

• The annual personal target for this role is £2.5 million in cruise GMV, and we are equipped to support you in exceeding this. This target is intentionally significant. If that figure inspires you rather than intimidates you, continue reading. If it intimidates you, this may not be the right role for you.

⛳️ Requirements

• A deep expertise in cruising. You should truly be a cruise specialist, not a generalist travel agent. Typically, this involves 3+ years directly within the cruise industry, with comprehensive knowledge of mainstream and premium lines, cabin details, fare and promotion mechanisms, payment schedules, and common booking pitfalls.

• A proven track record. You have a documented history of personal cruise sales success, boasting 7-figure annual booking volumes. You can discuss specifically what you have personally sold, your close rates, repeat business, and referrals.

• The ability to establish rapport primarily over the phone. You naturally build trust and warmth through phone interactions. We believe UK customers should purchase from a UK advisor.

• CRM proficiency. You are adept and consistent in using a CRM as a daily operational tool—logging conversations, managing your pipeline, and maintaining clean customer records. Strong CRM discipline is a genuine differentiator for us, not an afterthought.

• The capacity to excel in a remote setting. This is a fully remote role. You must genuinely thrive in this environment—self-motivated, organized, and consistent without supervision, comfortable working asynchronously over Slack, CRM, and documents.

• Ambition and adaptability. We seek individuals who are passionate about this work and willing to put in the effort required to achieve exceptional results. This does not always conform to a standard 9 to 5 schedule.

• It’s an advantage if you have:

• Experience within a host agency or consortium model.

• Familiarity with using T-Profile as a CRM.

• Knowledge of Dolphin software (or equivalent UK booking/back-office systems).

• Understanding of the UK regulatory context—ATOL and ABTA protection, and its implications for customers.

• Experience with group cruises.

• Personal cruise experience—your own cruising enhances your ability to advise others.

• A public record of recognition—top producer, awards, supplier acknowledgment.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive base salary, adjusted according to experience and track record, discussed during the interview.

• Tiered personal commission on the revenue you generate, structured to ensure that strong advisors earn significantly above base salary. Given the inbound and high-intent nature of leads, the model favors genuine upside.

• 25 days of holiday plus UK bank holidays.

• Pension (statutory minimum).

• Fully remote—work from anywhere in the UK, with the option to join us in our London office.

• Full access to industry familiarization trips and ship inspection events.

• Provision of a laptop, phone system, and all necessary tools to operate at your best.

• Staff travel discounts.
