Crop Insurance Business Development Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Support the establishment of relationships with both new and existing crop insurance agents aimed at sustaining and attracting profitable business.

• Collaborate with colleagues and agents as a primary resource to help interpret government regulations related to the Federal Crop Insurance Program.

• Contribute as part of a broader team that may span multiple territories and/or regions to ensure all customers receive adequate training on all business processes and platforms, including web-based, mobile, and mapping tools.

• Participate in and/or deliver presentations at company training sessions and meetings.

• Aid in the formulation and execution of strategic marketing plans and forecasts to meet corporate objectives for products and services.

• Analyze market research and modify marketing strategies to adapt to evolving marketing and competitive landscapes.

• Oversee the monitoring and collection of necessary agent/agency compliance documents.

• Accountable for fostering and sustaining effective business relationships with both internal and external customers and colleagues to attract and maintain profitable business.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Two years of experience in the agriculture sector.

• A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or a related business field.

• Preferred – Four years of experience in agriculture and crop insurance.
