This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Establish and nurture relationships with both new and existing crop insurance agents to sustain and draw in profitable business.
• Act as a key resource for colleagues and agents by interpreting government regulations related to the Federal Crop Insurance Program.
• Collaborate across various territories and regions to ensure that customers receive adequate training on business processes and web-based, mobile, and mapping platforms.
• Attend and deliver presentations at company training sessions and meetings.
• Implement training programs for peers and agents while providing constructive feedback to the training department.
• Investigate agent issues and offer prompt, professional solutions.
• Support strategic marketing plans and forecasts for products and services.
• Assess and analyze agents’ business performance, production, and outcomes.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions, which may include modifying agreements or terminating agency appointments.
• Evaluate market research and adapt marketing strategies to shifting competitive landscapes.
• Oversee and gather compliance documents from agents and agencies.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal and external customers, coworkers, grower groups, commodity groups, trade associations, and legislators.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in agriculture is required.
• A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Proficient knowledge of sales and agriculture.
• In-depth understanding of farm economics, grain marketing, and risk management tools, including futures, options, and crop insurance.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory and operational processes.
• Strong decision-making, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective coaching and teaching capabilities.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Capability to handle sales responsibilities in face-to-face settings.
• Quick learner with the ability to promote company products and services.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to develop new skills, techniques, and software knowledge.
• Capacity to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs. on occasion.
• Ability to walk up to 3 miles in agricultural fields.
• Willingness to climb agricultural storage bins up to 75 feet and work at significant heights.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, extreme weather conditions, and high-dust environments.
• Proficiency in using required personal protective equipment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and as required.
• Up to 80% travel may be necessary, primarily within a 2–4 hour driving radius of the assigned home office.
