This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.
• Identify and evaluate potential business targets, utilizing various channels to recruit new agencies within your designated territory.
• Discover new business opportunities to enhance revenue growth and diversification.
• Propel profitable growth by marketing a comprehensive and varied suite of solutions while managing the existing portfolio of business.
• Gain a thorough understanding of each agent's business model and value proposition, and create tailored business plans that leverage opportunities in line with AFBIS growth strategies.
• Create and execute account service plans that outline deliverables, challenges, and technical requirements while managing the day-to-day customer service needs of agencies.
• Lead the onboarding process for clients and conduct training and educational sessions for agents (both in-person and virtual) on federal crop, hail, and private product insurance.
• Aid in problem resolution and proactively offer value-added services to accounts.
• Mentor agents in formulating and implementing growth strategies and market retention efforts.
• Participate in and deliver presentations at agent farmer meetings.
• Collaborate internally with team members and departments to efficiently achieve collective goals.
• Serve as an ambassador for AFBIS within the marketplace and with our clients.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Over 5 years of experience in crop insurance sales, training, underwriting, or agency management.
• Proven experience in identifying and fostering new business opportunities (preferably within Agriculture/Crop Insurance).
• Experience in coaching and developing agents is advantageous.
• Familiarity with agriculture and farm management.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and analytical abilities, with the capacity to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
