Crop Claims Field Adjuster I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct field inspections, which involve interpreting maps and aerial imagery, as well as measuring fields and storage facilities.

• Engage with farmers to discuss findings related to crop loss on intricate, non-standard, and contentious claims.

• Clearly communicate complex regulations and their interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry professionals.

• Gather facts concerning crop damage and relay loss information to assess potential indemnities.

• Collect pertinent information, apply relevant laws, and identify fundamental principles of negligence.

• Carry out claim reviews and audits on junior adjusters as necessary.

• Stay informed about regulatory and company policies to ensure adherence to legal standards.

• Collaborate with team members and engage in projects as required.

• Travel about 50% of the time to cover the designated territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector.

• Certification in the Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) must be achieved within 180 days of employment.

• Reliable personal transportation with the ability to travel throughout the territory.

• A valid Driver’s License.

• Capability to walk up to 3 miles in agricultural fields.

• Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet in height.

• Physical ability to lift weights ranging from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.

• Capacity to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and temperatures.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Prior experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster is preferred.
