Crop Claims Field Adjuster I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct field inspections and associated tasks, which involve interpreting maps and aerial imagery, as well as measuring fields and storage containers.

• Engage in discussions with farmers regarding crop-loss assessments on intricate, non-standard, challenging, and contentious claims.

• Communicate complex regulations and their interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry professionals.

• Execute investigations related to crop damage, document findings, and relay loss data to assess potential indemnities.

• Collect pertinent information, apply relevant laws, and establish fundamental negligence principles.

• Carry out claim reviews and audits on junior adjusters as assigned.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal standards.

• Collaborate on team projects and contribute to associated outcomes as required.

• Support agricultural communities and safeguard farmers and ranchers through crop insurance services.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and a minimum of 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector for the role of Crop Claims Field Adjuster I.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 4 years of experience in the agricultural field or the crop insurance industry for the position of Crop Claims Specialist.

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be acquired within 180 days of the hire date.

• Dependable personal transportation is required.

• A valid Driver’s License is necessary.

• Capability to travel within the designated territory; Crop Claims Specialists may also need to travel beyond their assigned region to assist with workloads, participate in CAT teams, or offer remote support.

• Ability to walk in agricultural fields for distances of up to 3 miles.

• Capacity to climb agricultural storage bins up to 50 feet high.

• Competence to lift weights ranging from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.

• Willingness to work outdoors under varying temperature and weather conditions.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills are essential.

• Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster is preferred.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

• Employment sponsorship is not available.
