This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Install electrical devices including small rack-mounted UPS systems, a variety of batteries, and UPS/Battery monitoring systems.
• Oversee the upkeep of Battery Cabinets and racks, Maintenance Bypass, Battery Monitoring Equipment, DC Systems, and other electrical apparatus.
• Conduct periodic and lifecycle-driven remedial services, encompassing failure analysis and troubleshooting, component replacements and repairs, as well as battery string replacements and installations.
• Foster customer relationships by delivering excellent service and promoting additional products.
• Address and resolve field troubleshooting calls from customers effectively.
• Respond swiftly to critical situations as they arise.
• Instruct and mentor team members on appropriate techniques for site work, troubleshooting, repairs, and data analysis.
• Identify basic hardware, software, and interface issues using various testing equipment across multiple products and technologies.
• Specific responsibilities may change or develop over time according to business and client requirements.
• Prior military training in electronics or avionics (A School, AIT, etc.) is preferred.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a third-party critical power field service or technical support role, demonstrating growth in technical skills and capabilities -OR-
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in an OEM service environment within the critical power sector.
• Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical principles.
• Familiarity with operating test equipment, such as multi-meters and battery testing devices.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and troubleshoot failures or faults down to the component level.
• Knowledge and experience in ensuring compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations and standards.
• Exceptional work ethic, punctuality, trustworthiness, and reliability – you will set the standard as a senior UPS/Critical Power Engineer.
