This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Deliver compassionate and nonjudgmental crisis intervention through phone, chat, and text.
• Perform suicide risk assessments and behavioral health evaluations while facilitating de-escalation.
• Work in collaboration with on-duty clinicians to ensure safety when higher-level interventions are necessary.
• Create safety and action plans together with individuals experiencing a crisis.
• Link callers to suitable community resources and crisis response partners.
• Precisely document all interactions within the electronic health record system.
• Adhere to established 988 Lifeline protocols and performance benchmarks.
• Assist in achieving shared team objectives related to response times, availability, and quality of care.
• A high school diploma or GED coupled with four (4) years of full-time behavioral health experience, or a combination of education and experience (Bachelor’s degree + 1 year BH experience, Associate degree + 2 years BH experience).
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to multitask across various software platforms in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to maintain focus and composure during emotionally charged conversations.
• Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential is required by the end of the probationary period. Applications must be filed within 30 days of hiring. Crisis Connections will reimburse the expenses for obtaining the credential.
