Crisis & Business Continuity Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and consistently enhance Solventum's crisis management and business continuity capabilities.

• Perform business impact assessments throughout the organization.

• Create and update business continuity plans for essential business operations.

• Design and lead crisis management drills.

• Assist the organization in responding to actual disruptions.

• Conduct workshops, draft plans, and validate recovery capabilities.

• Ensure the completion of corrective actions.

• Evaluate BIA results to pinpoint gaps, single points of failure, and unaddressed dependencies.

• Keep BIA data as a current, authoritative source.

• Formulate, write, and sustain business continuity plans for various business units and departments.

• Convert BIA insights into documented recovery strategies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

• 7 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, risk management, or a related field within a private, public, government, or military setting.

• Professional certification in business continuity and/or emergency management, such as CBCI, CBCP, MBCI (either previous or current).

• Familiarity with ISO 22301.

• Knowledge of pertinent standards, regulations, and frameworks, including ISO 22317 / ISO 22361 / NIST SP 800-34 / NFPA 1600.

• Experience in conducting business impact assessments and formulating business continuity plans.

• Proficient understanding of risk assessment techniques, BIA methodology, and recovery strategy formulation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional planning, organizational, and project management skills.

• Ability to thrive in a matrixed organizational structure.

• High degree of personal motivation and independence.

• Proficiency in business continuity software platforms (ServiceNow BCM) and emergency notification systems (e.g., Horizon, Everbridge).

• Adequate knowledge of IT infrastructure, application recovery, and data protection principles to collaborate effectively with IT disaster recovery teams.
