This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the underwriting process for intricate loan applications, evaluating creditworthiness and suggesting risk-reducing strategies.
• Regularly assess the assigned portfolio to proactively detect credit risks, emerging trends, and concerns regarding financial performance.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers during negotiations and discussions with clients to ensure alignment between client requirements and risk tolerance.
• Work alongside legal teams to review and negotiate credit agreements, ensuring adherence to bank policies and risk management protocols.
• Mentor junior credit professionals, enhancing team skills and promoting a robust credit culture.
• Undertake special projects and additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
• Bachelor's Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, or over 10 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 4 years in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management.
• Proficient in advanced financial modeling and risk evaluation.
• Excellent negotiation abilities and a collaborative approach with clients.
• Experience in structuring complex loan transactions.
• Capability to analyze macroeconomic trends and their effects on credit risk.
