Credit Control Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Pursue overdue invoices through email and phone communications, maintaining a professional and assertive tone.

• Establish payment plans and meticulously document every commitment to pay.

• Reconcile customer accounts and address disputes in collaboration with sales and finance teams.

• Update the ageing report on a weekly basis and identify high-risk accounts.

• Accurately allocate incoming payments within the accounting system.

• Take ownership of the collection process for overdue invoices to help maintain the client's cash flow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in credit control or collections, with demonstrable success in reducing overdue balances.

• Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.

• Confident and courteous communication skills via phone and email.

• Access to a reliable laptop, stable fiber internet, and a quiet workspace.

• Availability from 09:00 to 17:00 UK time (11:00 to 19:00 SAST).

• Knowledge of UK VAT and payment terms (desirable).

• Familiarity with Dext or GoCardless (desirable).

• Experience working with ageing reports in Excel (desirable).
