Credit Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing credit underwriting, driving growth, and managing portfolio risk.

• Assist in the creation and implementation of new lending strategies by analyzing data trends and converting them into actionable insights.

• Track the performance of existing strategies and make iterative improvements.

• Partner with engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control teams to design and implement product modifications.

• Create, maintain, and oversee credit models that evaluate the net present value of new lending cohorts.

• Develop and sustain database tables and dashboards to facilitate swift, data-informed decisions.

• Aid in the design and deployment of new products and customer experiences.

• Evaluate the long-term performance of lending portfolios for specific products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in unsecured retail lending, including personal loans, credit cards, overdrafts, or buy now pay later options.

• Knowledge of the unsecured retail lending sector and the influence of pricing dynamics on portfolio performance.

• Familiarity with lending economics.

• Experience in developing and implementing underwriting strategies.

• Strong analytical skills and data proficiency.

• Technical coding expertise.

• Proficiency in SQL is essential.

• Experience with Python and Looker is advantageous.

• Solid understanding of UK lending regulations.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and implement product changes effectively.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey decision points clearly.

• Some experience in project management and cross-team coordination.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
