Creative Technologist – AI Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• **Which software, code, and tools will I be utilizing?**

• **AI Prototyping & Development**

• ● AI coding tools such as Claude Code, enabling rapid creation of demonstrable prototypes.

• ● Large Language Models (LLMs) and hosted/served models serving as foundational elements within solutions.

• ● AI agents and agentic workflows.

• ● MCP (Model Context Protocol) services for exposing data and capabilities to AI systems.

• ● Expertise in prompt design and understanding how to elicit reliable, high-quality output from AI tools.

• **Prototyping & Web**

• ● Proficient in quickly developing functional front ends — JavaScript / TypeScript, and contemporary frameworks like React when applicable.

• ● Capable of establishing lightweight back-end services and APIs to support a prototype.

• ● Adept with AWS cloud services sufficient for deploying and demonstrating a solution.

• **Supporting Tools**

• ● IntelliJ IDEs / VS Code

• ● JIRA

• ● Confluence

• ● GitLab and GitLab pipelines

• ● Lucid Charts

• ● Design and wireframing tools (e.g., Figma) to collaborate with creative software design teams.

• **What does a typical day look like?**

• ● Identify and articulate a genuine challenge or opportunity for the client that technology could address.

• ● Collaborate with a creative software designer to define significant problems worth solving, along with the wireframes and user journeys that accompany them.

• ● Dedicate focused periods — usually around a week — to build a demonstrable prototype utilizing AI tools.

• ● Integrate AI agents, LLMs, models, and MCP services into solutions where they provide added value.

• ● Prepare and present prototypes to a client audience, clearly demonstrating how the solution addresses their issue.

• ● Research and stay abreast of emerging AI tools, models, and techniques, bringing a strong perspective on their application.

• ● Work independently, managing your own research and delivery, while receiving support from the broader team as needed.

• ● Document and capture solutions clearly so that ideas can be understood, revisited, and advanced by others.

⛳️ Requirements

• This position focuses on transforming ideas into tangible results swiftly and autonomously. Therefore, the candidate must be comfortable setting their own course and tackling open-ended problems with minimal supervision, as well as managing their own time effectively. A natural curiosity and creativity are crucial. Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and be adept at presenting technical concepts compellingly to a non-technical client audience. Experience in building prototypes with modern AI tools, along with a demonstrable passion for the rapidly evolving AI landscape, are fundamental to this role.

• **Essential Skills & Attributes**

• - **A minimum of 1 year of experience in building software and/or prototypes with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor**

• - **At least 5 years of experience in developing web applications and websites using JavaScript, Typescript, React, and ES6+**

• - **At least 2 years of experience working with backend technologies (Node, Java, or Python)**

• - **A minimum of 1 year of experience configuring and utilizing AWS web hosting (S3, CloudFront, ECS, Lambda)**

• - **Proven experience collaborating with creative teams**

• - **Demonstrable experience presenting to clients and non-technical audiences**

• - **Experience with Terraform for managing AWS deployments is desirable but not mandatory.**

• - **Working knowledge of DynamoDB and vector databases such as ElasticSearch/OpenSearch**
