Creative Operations Manager – Temp-to-Hire

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of project management for all internal and external creative initiatives: establish timelines, monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure every workstream remains active.

• Identify, assess, and oversee creative contractors and vendors: including photographers, editors, motion designers, illustrators, print production companies, and equipment suppliers.

• Manage productions from start to finish: including pre-production planning, budgeting, gear rentals, travel and accommodation arrangements, on-set logistics, and post-production coordination.

• Travel both domestically and internationally to assist with shoots, events, and field productions.

• Oversee Armada’s merchandise program: handling vendor relationships, design approvals, quality assurance, order fulfillment, and ongoing inventory management.

• Assist in defining new creative projects: researching vendors, methods, and costs to turn concepts from inception to execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in production, creative operations, or a combined producer/project manager role.

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. You retain all commitments, deadlines, and details, and you create systems to facilitate this.

• Experience in sourcing, hiring, and managing creative contractors and vendors, with a keen ability to identify creative talent.

• Proficiency in building and managing budgets and tracking expenditures against them.

• Practical knowledge of audio-visual equipment. You can specify a camera package, navigate an audio chain, and comprehend the gear involved in single or multi-camera shoots.

• Excellent interpersonal skills. You can handle challenging vendor discussions and maintain composure on set when issues arise.

• Willingness to travel on short notice, including internationally and to remote locations.
