This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Take ownership of and cultivate strategic partnerships with OEM crane manufacturers throughout North America, enhancing platform penetration and securing long-term agreements.
• Spearhead specification initiatives by collaborating with OEM engineering teams to establish Bridon® as the preferred technical option.
• Collaborate directly with OEM engineering teams to redesign rope systems aimed at improving safety and performance.
• Introduce innovative technologies such as rotation-resistant ropes and high-performance designs.
• Influence early design stages and new product development to integrate Bekaert solutions into upcoming crane platforms.
• Serve as a technical-commercial ally, aiding in the testing, validation, and optimization of rope systems concerning safety, performance, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Identify and cultivate strategic crane-related projects in sectors such as infrastructure, ports, energy, industrial, and defense.
• Collaborate with EPCs, architectural firms, and essential infrastructure stakeholders.
• Drive commercial growth by increasing share of wallet, converting competitors, and devising pricing and partnership strategies.
• Work cross-functionally with the Segment leader, Technical & Quality teams, Operations supply chain, and Business Development to ensure seamless execution from specification to delivery.
• Keep track of trends in OEM platforms, crane design modifications, and industry advancements.
• Monitor competitor activities within OEM accounts.
• Provide structured insights regarding platform changes, technology trends, and pricing dynamics.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in sales, key account management, or technical commercial roles.
• Industry experience with Crane OEMs, Automotive, or project-driven environments; proficiency with steel ropes is a notable advantage.
• Strong customer focus with the capability to forge and sustain long-term strategic relationships.
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, pricing, and commercial decision-making.
• Excellent project management skills with a history of managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Proficient analytical skills for market assessment, opportunity identification, and competitive analysis.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of engaging with technical and senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and administrative prowess, including forecasting, reporting, and activity tracking.
• Financial acumen in managing travel and entertainment budgets.
• High adaptability, with a willingness to travel up to 40% across North America (US, Canada, Mexico).
