This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist in the creation of clinical trial coverage analysis.
• Review and interpret clinical trial protocols to create activity grids that pinpoint necessary tests, procedures, and assessments.
• Utilize software and internal resources to identify potential CPT/HCPCS codes for relevant items in the activity grid.
• Evaluate the work completed by colleagues as part of the internal quality review process.
• Execute other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Adhere to attendance and punctuality requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; substantial professional experience in the specific area may be accepted in place of a degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
• Capability to thrive in a performance-oriented environment with a proactive, results-focused, and goal-driven mindset.
• Proven ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information in a consultative manner.
• Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized.
• Proficient understanding of clinical terminology and descriptors.
• Strong investigative skills; ability to comprehend complex technical documents, extract pertinent information, and accurately document findings.
• Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Familiarity with the clinical trial start-up process is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in interpreting clinical trial protocols to evaluate activities associated with visit schedules and treatment plans is preferred but not mandatory.
• Understanding of research insurance billing and coverage guidelines, such as Medicare NCD 310.1, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience as a clinical research coordinator, ideally in oncology or medical device therapeutic areas, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to fulfill light to moderate physical and sensory requirements, including prolonged sitting and frequent keyboard use.
• Travel requirement: 0%–5%.
