Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Provide direct counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, siblings, and/or other stakeholders) via telehealth.

• Employ empirically supported therapeutic techniques from a range of disciplines, customized to meet each client's individual needs. This may encompass Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, among others.

• Attend to relational ethics while working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and the families we support, engaging other team members to ensure comprehensive support for the family and sharing information and insights.

• Participate in family care meetings with other service providers as required.

• Additional duties may be included, such as clinical mentorship, with involvement in our Clinical Ladder Program.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a master's degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

• You hold a current unrestricted license to practice independently as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor (or equivalent), or Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of employment, having been licensed there for at least 1 year.

• You have a solid foundation and understanding of various empirically supported psychotherapy treatment methods, including but not limited to cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.

• You bring over 1 year of experience working with children or families with developmental differences in a counseling setting.

• You are able to secure Mental Health Provider licensure in all applicable states where Cortica operates within 60 days of your hire date.
