Cost Engineer – Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Evaluate architectural drawings and submitted estimates to identify appropriate installation options for our systems, such as glass, aluminum, and steel partitions.

• Conduct accurate take-offs for all door and partition openings based on architectural and shop drawings.

• Analyze and interpret door schedules and hardware sets to guarantee accurate product selection and full compatibility.

• Engage effectively with the sales team to clarify project scope, technical specifications, and timelines.

• Request essential documentation, including compliance and regulatory certifications, as required.

• Create comprehensive quotes that clearly outline the included materials, scope of work, exclusions, and any pertinent assumptions or conditions.

• Identify and rectify technical mistakes made by sales managers and suggest suitable alternatives or solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• **Technical degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering**

• Strong spatial awareness and technical problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated experience with quantity take-offs from construction and mechanical drawings.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting:

• Civil and mechanical drawings as well as hardware sets and layouts.

• Skilled in Excel or Google Sheets ➤ Basic formulas.

• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and work autonomously.

• Comfortable working with scaled PDFs (e.g., in Adobe Acrobat).

• Languages: Russian (fluent), English (Upper-intermediate B2).

• Available for full-time work aligned with the EST timezone (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM).
