Cost Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Review and validate payroll information to ensure employees receive the correct salaries and that associated costs are accurately documented.

• Prepare and distribute client invoices based on payroll and service expenditures.

• Monitor and follow up on client payments to guarantee timely collections.

• Oversee the supplier/vendor payment process, which includes reviewing invoices and ensuring payments are processed on time.

• Take ownership of and maintain cost accounts and Accounts Payable (AP) records.

• Reconcile payroll expenses and intercompany transactions across different entities.

• Reconcile financial data to facilitate tax and compliance reporting.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Enhance and maintain comprehensive EOR accounting workflows.

• Aid in tax audits and preparation of tax returns as necessary.

• Collaborate effectively with Payroll, Customer Success, and other departments to address discrepancies and ensure efficient billing/payment cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or auditing, with practical exposure to invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.

• Relevant accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent).

• Experience working within a corporate group with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting.

• Strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.

• Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across various departments.

• Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel.

• Capability to work in accordance with CET (Central European Time) working hours.
