Corporate Travel Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as a travel specialist and professional consultant for corporate clients under contract.

• Organize domestic and international business travel in line with company travel policies.

• Arrange high-quality accommodations and transportation options.

• Conduct interviews to assess travelers' needs.

• Utilize travel, airline, hotel, car rental, and Amtrak reservation systems to coordinate cost-effective travel arrangements.

• Monitor statuses and entries within Action, Error, and Cancel operational queues.

• Handle reservation cancellations and modifications, including notifying client agencies.

• Provide clients with itineraries, customs information, passport details, visa requirements, vaccination certificates, and other travel updates and advisories.

• Investigate changes, trends, and offerings within the travel industry.

• Deliver prompt, accurate, and high-quality customer service while recommending value-added services.

• Stay informed about operational IT systems, processes, and best practices.

• Act as a backup consultant for other assigned accounts and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED, or one to three years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in arranging both domestic and international travel.

• Proficient in using the Global Distribution System Apollo and ticketing software.

• Ability to learn and effectively implement new processes and procedures.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with a GDS, airline travel platforms, and online booking tools.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

• Capacity to work remotely from a designated home office.
