This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Assist in the implementation of the company's sustainability strategy in line with its business objectives, mission, vision, and values.
• Play a role in the development of the annual Sustainability Report.
• Create presentations and management reports.
• Research industry trends, best practices, standards, and emerging regulations.
• Facilitate the execution of the renewable energy strategy.
• Undertake cross-functional sustainability projects.
• Analyze benchmarks and key performance indicators.
• Report on project workstream results and suggest improvements.
• Assist with sustainability analysis for annual shareholder engagement meetings.
• Prepare responses for credit and sustainability rating agencies as well as key clients.
• Collaborate with teams in operations, accounting, and commercial affairs.
• Investigate sustainability legislation, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance.
• Aid in climate risk and impact assessments along with voluntary and regulatory reporting.
• Gather, analyze, and report on both quantitative and qualitative sustainability data and metrics.
• Contribute to Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions accounting in accordance with GHG Protocol standards.
• Generate periodic reports that track project workstreams.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost savings, and improved resource management.
• Review external statements and policies on an annual basis.
• Provide guidance and review the work of junior team members.
• Promote engagement around sustainable practices within the organization.
• Carry out additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of pertinent business experience in corporate sustainability or management consulting.
• Capability to conduct research and collect data for sustainability strategies and programs.
• Foundational understanding of business operations.
• Experience assisting with sustainability reporting for publicly traded companies.
• Familiarity with GRI, SASB, IFRS S1/S2, and other related industry standards.
• Awareness of sustainability regulatory requirements.
• Basic analytical skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of emissions accounting per GHG Protocol standards.
• Excellent communication and business writing abilities.
• Proficient in conducting research and analysis.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in team settings.
• Physical capability to stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Capability to reach with hands and arms.
• Vision that is correctable to 20/20.
• Ability to respond verbally in a clear and professional manner.
