This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support attorneys in commercial real estate transactions, encompassing acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing.
• Prepare, review, and manage various real estate documents, including leases, amendments, purchase agreements, and closing documents.
• Organize closings by preparing closing binders and monitoring critical deadlines.
• Obtain and evaluate title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and environmental documentation.
• Maintain a lease database and track critical dates for renewals, options, and obligations.
• Summarize lease terms and create abstracts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, operations) concerning lease obligations.
• Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, including corporate documents, title, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and highlight potential risks or issues for review by legal counsel.
• Assist with tracking compliance and reporting obligations.
• Keep organized electronic and physical records of real estate files.
• Prepare and maintain corporate records related to property ownership entities.
• Ensure proper execution, notarization, and filing of documents.
• Work in conjunction with internal departments (finance, accounting, operations, HR, etc.) on real estate issues.
• Assist in coordinating with vendors, including outside counsel, title companies, and brokers.
• Support special projects and process enhancements within the legal department.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Paralegal certification is preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in commercial real estate, corporate law, or legal support.
• Experience in supporting multi-state real estate portfolios is advantageous.
• Remote work availability.
• Contract position lasting 4-6 months.
