Corporate Counsel, Cybersecurity – Enforcement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic legal consultant on cybersecurity risks, programs, technologies, incidents, and changing legal and regulatory standards.

• Direct the legal response to cybersecurity incidents and investigations, including providing guidance on response strategies, legal responsibilities, and communications.

• Formulate legal strategies to investigate, disrupt, and take action against malicious actors targeting DoorDash, its customers, merchants, and partners.

• Counsel on critical cybersecurity issues, including security initiatives, incident response, and adapting to new legal and regulatory frameworks.

• Assist in developing and implementing DoorDash's legal strategy for cybercrime investigations and enforcement actions.

• Operate at the convergence of cybersecurity law, digital investigations, and programmatic enforcement.

• Offer legal counsel on security issues and devise programmatic enforcement strategies to safeguard DoorDash, its customers, merchants, and partners.

• Manage projects that generate immediate impact and collaborate with the legal team and wider organization.

• Strong legal acumen with the ability to make decisions in uncertain, fast-paced environments with incomplete information.

• Background in cybersecurity, cybercrime, enforcement, commercial litigation, technology, or similar legal fields.

• Capability to comprehend intricate legal and technical matters and convert them into actionable advice.

• Proven ability to lead complicated, high-stakes cases and exercise sound judgment under pressure.

• Self-motivated individual who can independently manage matters while also working collaboratively.

• A sense of curiosity, creativity, and a desire to develop innovative solutions to challenging problems.

• 5–7+ years of legal experience.

• Juris Doctor degree.

• Experience within a law firm, government, or corporate legal department.

• Authorized to practice law in the U.S. state of residence.

• Bonus: experience as a prosecutor or government attorney dealing with cybercrime, fraud, technology-related investigations, or enforcement issues.

• Bonus: experience collaborating with law enforcement on complex investigations.

• Bonus: experience in pursuing or supporting civil or criminal actions against malicious actors.

• Bonus: familiarity with cybersecurity laws, regulatory inquiries, incident response, and cybersecurity disclosure obligations.
