Corporate Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Oversee financial operations for a privately owned SaaS enterprise.

• Manage deliverables while mentoring a globally distributed team of staff accountants.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on worldwide accounting operations.

• Develop and enhance accounting processes utilizing AI agents for month-end closing tasks.

• Advocate for AI tool adoption to boost performance and efficiency.

• Direct and assess complex procedures for month-end and quarter-end closing.

• Take ownership of P&L expense accruals, payroll accounting, royalty accounting, fixed asset and lease accounting, along with other technical accounting requirements.

• Prepare and review reconciliations for over 18 subsidiaries and 130 significant accounts.

• Ensure SOX compliance through internal controls and workpapers.

• Create accurate and self-explanatory audit schedules for external auditors.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives related to growth, systems implementations, and M&A integrations.

• Drive improvements in processes and address accounting discrepancies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• CPA preferred.

• Advanced expertise in accounting.

• Proven history of maintaining precise workpapers.

• Capability to independently manage a global personnel team and complex financial processes.

• Strong critical thinking and solution-oriented mindset.

• Excellent project management skills.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, FloQast, Coupa, and/or Brex is preferred.

• Experience with, or a strong willingness to learn how to implement, AI agents for closing automation.

• Advanced Excel modeling proficiency.

• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP accounting.

• Extensive experience in reconciling complex balance sheet accounts.

• Must be able to work full-time in the MST time zone.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.
