Accountant, LATAM Accounting Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily accounting operations for the Argentine legal entity.

• Utilize SAP to ensure accurate recording and maintenance of accounting data.

• Prepare accounting data, analysis, and reports necessary for group reporting.

• Assist with month-end and other regular closing and reporting tasks.

• Collaborate with external accounting and tax service providers as needed.

• Potentially assist with payroll-related tasks in partnership with an external payroll provider.

• Ensure that accounting documentation and data are comprehensive, precise, and submitted punctually.

• Manage selected accounting processes across the LATAM region, especially in Brazil and Mexico.

• Serve as a primary contact for external accounting firms supporting Brazil and Mexico.

• Facilitate the exchange of financial and accounting information with external providers.

• Track the timeliness, completeness, and quality of data received from local providers.

• Follow up on outstanding information and clarify accounting-related inquiries.

• Assist in the preparation and consolidation of information needed for group reporting across LATAM.

• Collaborate closely with internal Finance stakeholders to ensure consistent and timely reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in accounting, preferably within an international organization or setting.

• Solid understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting.

• Practical experience using SAP.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

• Capability to work independently and take charge of assigned responsibilities.

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

• Proficient in collaborating effectively with external service providers and stakeholders across various countries.

• Fluent or highly proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, international environment.

• Experience with payroll processes (preferred).

• Familiarity with accounting providers or shared service environments (preferred).

• Exposure to LATAM accounting, specifically in Argentina, Brazil, or Mexico (preferred).

• Experience in supporting group reporting or working with multinational companies (preferred).
