This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Achieve AbbVie and Brand Team access, reimbursement, and financial goals across a diverse portfolio, ensuring profitable gross-to-net performance and efficient access for patients and providers.

• Create and oversee contracting strategies for commercial, government, and Medicare Part D sectors, ensuring they align with AbbVie’s objectives, policies, and long-term brand strategies.

• Proactively identify and tackle challenges in the market, regulatory, and payer landscapes—including New Delinking and related Service Fee models, 340B, IRA, pricing, invoicing, and contract implications—to safeguard and enhance access strategies.

• Present payer insights and strategic recommendations to senior management, highlighting decision-making factors, growth prospects, customer dynamics, and gross-to-net ramifications.

• Foster strong strategic relationships with key payer customers by establishing enduring partnerships at various levels and functions.

• Guide, mentor, and develop Account Executives and extended payer team members to enhance their negotiation, analytical, strategic, and customer relationship skills.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Market Access, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Medical, Supply Chain, Payer Strategy, Corporate Accounts, Regional Accounts, and sales teams to synchronize resources and execution efforts.

• Deliver timely insights, analyses, options, and financial planning contributions to internal stakeholders while facilitating internal discussions and approval processes.

• Ensure compliant collaboration with medical personnel and support broader Market Access and AbbVie priorities as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, Market Access, payer strategy, or similar fields.

• Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including executive presence and the ability to recruit, nurture, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams, customers, and stakeholders.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities, with the confidence and adaptability to influence both internal and external stakeholders while constructively challenging assumptions.

• Proven capability to foresee reimbursement, customer, market, or regulatory shifts and devise timely solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing laws, regulations, and guidelines, along with a strong understanding of supply chain and distribution dynamics.

• Strong skills in finance, contracting, analytics, and strategic planning.

• A BA or BS degree is required; an advanced degree or relevant advanced training is preferred.

• Willingness to travel extensively and work long, unpredictable hours as necessary.
