This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of and oversee several projects at once, ensuring adherence to timelines and the achievement of deliverables.
• Independently produce long-form written content, including IVAs, websites, and detailed campaign materials.
• Craft scripts for video and multimedia with a strong narrative structure and effective storytelling.
• Initiate and participate in concept creation, both in practical application and during the ideation phase.
• Go beyond the initial brief when suitable to enhance creative and strategic ideation.
• Connect tactical outputs to the broader brand strategy and campaign goals.
• Ensure a consistent and recognizable creative voice is maintained across all materials and channels.
• Work collaboratively with art directors to enhance the synergy between art and copy.
• Participate in tactical planning and offer insights for audience engagement strategies.
• Comprehend and foresee the brand implications of creative choices and modifications.
• Confidently present work to clients with clarity and professionalism.
• Independently handle smaller projects or segments of larger initiatives in client environments, such as digital banners and campaign extensions.
• Efficiently integrate feedback and deliver high-quality work with minimal revisions.
• 4-8 years of experience in a copywriting position within an agency, particularly in a healthcare/pharma or regulated agency context.
• Strong comprehension of brand strategy and the integration of creative work across various disciplines.
• Proven ability to conceptualize and execute long-form and multimedia content effectively.
• Established creative voice with a consistent ability to tell compelling stories.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects under pressure while upholding quality standards.
• Solid understanding of scientific and regulatory factors, with the capability to apply them appropriately (e.g., annotations/referencing, providing context & balance as necessary).
• Experience working closely with art directors and cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable presenting work to clients and contributing valuable insights during discussions.
• Strong time management capabilities and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to clearly express the strategic reasoning behind creative decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
