Cooling Tower Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Support the construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repair of various cooling towers.

• Commit to completing tasks safely, efficiently, on schedule, and adhering to OBR quality standards.

• Maintain a focus on safety and adhere to safe work practices at all times.

• Assist in the installation of mechanical components such as motors, fans, gearboxes, drive shafts, mechanical supports, and fan stacks.

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans to gather information regarding material types, dimensions, and structural specifications.

• Aid in the selection of lumber and other materials necessary for the assigned projects.

• Help prepare layouts utilizing rulers, tape measures, framing squares, and calipers.

• Assist in marking cuts, holes, and assembly lines on materials with pencils, chalk, and marking gauges.

• Aid in shaping materials to specified measurements using saws, chisels, and grinders.

• Support the assembly of cut and shaped materials.

• Assist with the installation of piping and nozzles.

• Contribute to the erection of frameworks.

• Perform additional tasks as directed by OBR Field Supervision.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Valid Driver’s License or ID Card (must also have reliable transportation).

• Knowledge of safety standards through OSHA training and applicable experience.

• Experience in an industrial work environment.

• Ability to operate within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy.

• Capability to select and utilize appropriate tools.

• Skill in comparing and accurately assessing size, shape, and form differences of objects.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with others.

• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
