This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Collaborate with Operating Units, Convention Specialists, and Finance stakeholders to create annual convention budgets.
• Maintain forecasting models, oversee expenditures, assist with accrual activities, and pinpoint budget risks and opportunities for savings.
• Reconcile convention costs, verify cost allocations, analyze variances, and provide accurate reports to cost centers.
• Create dashboards, automated reporting solutions, KPI reports, and executive-level analytics.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Apps, Glean, and other analytics and automation tools to enhance reporting, workflows, data discrepancy identification, and data integrity.
• Act as a liaison between Operating Units and convention stakeholders.
• Facilitate budget discussions, collect requirements, communicate financial performance, and tailor communication strategies to business partners.
• Oversee vendor performance management, including SLA monitoring, vendor scorecards, business reviews, compliance support, performance tracking, and cost-savings analysis.
• Assist convention operations through project timeline management, planning documentation, invoice processing, data governance, and cross-functional process execution.
• Contribute to process standardization, documentation, automation, stakeholder training, and the implementation of new technologies and reporting capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree with over 5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analytics, budget management, project management, sales operations, event operations, or related analytical business functions; or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, complex formulas, data validation techniques, and analysis of large datasets.
• Experience in managing budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, accrual processes, or business performance analytics.
• Experience in developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Glean, or similar business intelligence and analytics platforms.
• Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate data-driven insights, support decision-making, and manage competing priorities.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for positions below the Principal level.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a degree that meets the criteria of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
