This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and resolve issues related to BMS and EPMS, including conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective measures.
• Provide incident management and emergency assistance for system failures.
• Ensure that BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems function as intended for power monitoring, capacity planning, and alarm management.
• Oversee the planning of preventative maintenance and manage alarm systems for maintenance activities.
• Create, modify, and validate control logic, sequences of operation (SOO), and graphical user interfaces.
• Assist in commissioning efforts and ensure adherence to design standards and local regulations.
• Collaborate with contractors and integrators throughout various project stages.
• Supervise vendor activities and conduct inspections of wiring, installations, and commissioning processes.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive system documentation, testing plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and change management records.
• Apply corporate standards and methodologies to enhance system performance.
• Educate internal teams on system design, configuration, and operational processes.
• Work closely with operations personnel, project managers, engineers, and contractors on site-specific initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency support outside of regular hours.
• Travel to data center sites as necessary for troubleshooting and project assistance.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
• Practical experience with Industrial Automation and Building Management Control Systems, with a preference for Distech and/or Siemens.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining BMS, EPMS, and SCADA systems, with a preference for Ignition and/or Niagara.
• Strong understanding of common industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, BACnet IP, MQTT, etc.
• Knowledge of converged IT/OT networks and TCP/IP networking in large-scale environments.
• Experience in a mix of Instrumentation and Controls programming/installation, general contractor MEP coordination/project management, and commissioning (both mechanical and electrical) in data centers or other large-scale mission-critical facilities.
• At least 3 years of experience in programming/designing HVAC control systems and Electrical Power Monitoring.
• Familiarity with central chiller plant systems, Computer Room Air Handling (CRAH) units, and facility operations.
• Understanding of power distribution systems within a data center or similar critical systems environment.
