This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of facility configurations, encompassing all control strategies, cause and effect analyses, input/output (I/O) lists, user permissions, and hardware inventories.
• Leading the resolution of customer service tickets related to various components of the ATLAS Control System.
• Conducting quality assurance testing in collaboration with Product and Tech Teams to ensure systems function correctly and to identify potential issues along with their solutions.
• Generating and verifying I/O lists, ensuring that wiring is correctly connected and that I/O points are accurately named and labeled.
• Providing assistance in the troubleshooting of electrical panels and signals.
• Identifying discrepancies during testing and collaborating with the controls team to revise the control strategy accordingly.
• Learning and utilizing CK’s internal control language to write, document, test, and assist in the deployment of control strategies, including:
• Safety checks and responses;
• Finite state machines at the equipment level;
• Process control that integrates equipment-level control.
• Monitoring, characterizing, and enhancing the performance of deployed controls: Setpoint tracking; tuning; response times; response characteristics.
• Assisting in advanced process control and scheduling tasks.
• Contributing to feature requests for the internal control language and software platform, providing feedback, bug reports, and recommendations to the software team.
• Performing system evaluations and making necessary recommendations for repairing the control system as needed.
• Demonstrating an understanding of customer needs and embodying the passion and drive that the CK team possesses for Atlas's success.
• Aiding in the development of ATLAS technical training for facility maintenance teams, covering basic troubleshooting, hardware replacement, and manual operation of systems during critical failures.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, along with 36 months of experience in industrial automation applications; deep knowledge of PLCs, with the ability to program independently in ladder logic.
• Familiarity with various control systems, including but not limited to SCADA or similar systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applicable to troubleshooting, programming, and potential repairs of current machinery in the facilities.
