This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate and confirm mechanical designs and layouts for electrical and control feasibility.
• Proactively identify technical risks, gaps, or constructability issues.
• Ensure that proposed solutions are in line with KPI standards, preferred architecture, and delivery models.
• Create initial electrical system concepts adhering to IEC/US standards, customer specifications, and KPI guidelines.
• Outline the approach for control panels and power distribution strategies.
• Determine power requirements and ratings for single line diagrams and control panels.
• Establish assumptions regarding network and controls architecture.
• Develop and distribute bills of materials for panels and field devices.
• Utilize Autodesk ACAD-E and other KPI custom tools to produce control panel, power distribution single-line, conveyor layout, and various electrical drawings.
• Specify the high-level controls scope and integration strategy.
• Collaborate with Controls and Electrical Engineering leads to ensure all solutions are feasible.
• Estimate electrical equipment needs, including panels, devices, power distribution, and field components.
• Create labor estimates for electrical and controls engineering tasks.
• Work alongside Sales on the development of technical proposals, cost drivers, trade-offs, and transition to execution teams post-award.
• Assist with documentation and compliance efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering credentials.
• Over 5 years of experience in pre-sales support, applications engineering, or technical estimation.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and UL508A standards.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD-Electrical (ACAD-E) for creating, reading, and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley electrical products.
• In-depth understanding of industrial networking, including EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Profinet.
• Experience with conveyor systems and material handling equipment (MHE), sorters, palletizers, and electrical components.
• Proficient in safety PLCs, machine automation, and PLC/software interfacing.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Capable of leading technical discussions with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
