This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct all accounting operations, encompassing general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, treasury, debt management, and healthcare billing.
• Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring prompt and precise financial reporting.
• Prepare and evaluate consolidated financial statements along with management reports.
• Guarantee adherence to U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
• Manage accounting for various legal entities, including consolidations, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing.
• Examine financial and operational data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities, while providing actionable insights to executive leadership.
• Create impactful dashboards, KPIs, and management reports that facilitate informed business decisions.
• Investigate, assess, and document the accounting treatment for new, unusual, and intricate transactions in line with U.S. GAAP.
• Draft technical accounting memoranda and establish accounting policies to ensure uniform application across the organization.
• Keep abreast of emerging accounting standards, regulatory guidance, and developments in the healthcare industry, evaluating their effects on the organization and advising on appropriate actions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting obligations.
• Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and cash flow forecasting.
• Manage banking relationships and obligations related to debt.
• Monitor compliance with debt covenants and reporting requirements for lenders.
• Lead the annual external financial statement audit, acting as the primary contact for independent auditors.
• Develop, implement, and uphold effective internal controls that protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of accounting, procurement, and billing professionals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and outstanding customer service.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Revenue Cycle, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Executive Leadership to enhance financial processes, bolster data integrity, and support organizational goals.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• A minimum of 15+ years of advancing accounting experience.
• Background in public accounting.
• Leadership experience overseeing teams of five or more professionals.
• Experience in leading accounting functions within complex multi-entity organizations.
• Proven expertise in intercompany accounting and transfer pricing.
• Experience in managing annual external audits.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience in treasury operations, debt management, and cash forecasting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; Sage Intacct is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence organizational results.
