This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across various entities, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate financial statements.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger, which includes invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
• Take charge of the preparation and posting of journal entries and transactions within the general ledger.
• Collaborate with the Finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and conducting variance analysis.
• Manage vendor expenditure, encompassing contract reviews, renewals, and consolidations.
• Oversee debt management, including borrowings, repayments, covenant compliance, and reporting to lenders.
• Direct daily cash management activities, such as cash positioning, liquidity planning, and maintaining bank relationships.
• Lead efforts in revenue recognition and ensure compliance with ASC 606.
• Develop and uphold a strong internal control framework across all entities and locations.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring successful audits/reviews and timely, accurate filings in all jurisdictions.
• Administer all intercompany transactions.
• Work collaboratively with Legal, HR, and Operations teams to enhance cross-border scaling and business efficiency.
• Manage NetSuite and other core financial systems, focusing on optimization and reporting improvements.
• Identify and implement methods to streamline and automate accounting processes for improved efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA certification is required).
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years serving as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
• Experience in a high-growth, multi-entity, and multi-currency environment.
• Proven ability to establish or enhance close processes and internal controls.
• Strong systems knowledge (NetSuite or a similar ERP; experience with bill.com or a comparable platform is a plus) along with advanced Excel capabilities.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication skills for engaging both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• A self-motivated individual who excels in fast-paced and ambiguous settings.
• Ability to work across various functions and communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
