Assistant Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial statements and submit them to both the manufacturer and management within established deadlines.

• Oversee the daily accounting operations of the store to ensure that all transactions are recorded in adherence to AutoNation's accounting processes and policies.

• Accurately close the books at the end of each month.

• Prepare and submit necessary statements and reports.

• Manage and protect the store's assets while ensuring that internal controls are effectively implemented.

• Support department managers in understanding and interpreting their financial reports, as well as in developing action plans to enhance their operations.

• Respond promptly to requests for information and assistance.

• Collaborate with regional staff to ensure the achievement of corporate initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of three years of experience in a dealership role is preferred.

• Familiarity with dealership financial statements is essential.

• Ability to convey technical financial information in a clear and comprehensible manner.

• Outstanding communication skills are necessary.
