This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand an accounting team that supports a fast-growing, investor-backed SaaS organization.

• Ensure the integrity of the company's financials, manage the close process, enhance financial infrastructure, improve business insights, oversee audits, and handle daily accounting operations.

• Collaborate with FP&A to guarantee alignment between financial reporting and key SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, deferred revenue, bookings), ensuring data integrity across all systems.

• Take ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal discipline.

• Lead the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting disclosures for board, sponsor, and lender reporting.

• Supervise technical accounting areas, focusing on ASC 606 (SaaS revenue recognition) and other complex topics.

• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, leading the annual audit process, including PBC coordination, technical memos, and audit committee deliverables.

• Coordinate tax compliance across federal, state, and international jurisdictions in collaboration with external advisors.

• Own and enhance the NetSuite environment, including the chart of accounts structure, workflows, reporting, and module utilization.

• Identify and implement automation opportunities across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report cycles.

• Collaborate with FP&A and Operations to streamline data flows, minimize manual processes, and enhance reporting speed and accuracy.

• Oversee treasury operations, including cash management and the optimization of working capital.

• Lead a team of three accounting professionals and cultivate a high-performance, continuous improvement culture within the department.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA strongly preferred.

• Over 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including a background in public accounting (Big 4 or a leading national/regional firm).

• Experience within a private equity-backed SaaS company is required.

• Extensive experience with NetSuite, including system optimization, reporting, and integrations.

• Proven track record of automating processes and driving improvements in accounting and systems.

• Strong understanding of key business KPIs (ARR, churn, bookings, EBITDA).

• Strong technical accounting expertise.

• Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on team development.

• An operator mindset—someone who identifies gaps, creates solutions, and drives independent execution.
