This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for all entities in the Americas, ensuring precision and punctuality.
• Enhance and maintain internal controls to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information.
• Lead and nurture the accounting team by providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
• Ensure that account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage external audit processes, including the preparation of documentation and coordination with auditors.
• Optimize month-end closing procedures to enhance accuracy and decrease cycle time.
• Collaborate closely with the FP&A team to assist with variance analysis, supplying accounting insights and timely responses to inquiries.
• Offer accounting guidance to business partners regarding accounting policies and related interpretations.
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual global consolidation process for all subsidiaries and entities.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and reports in accordance with US GAAP.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of intercompany eliminations and adjustments for foreign currency translations.
• Collaborate with regional accounting teams and global shared services teams to guarantee timely submission of subsidiary financial statements.
• Create management, debt, and board-level financial reporting packages on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Contribute to system implementations, upgrades, and integrations related to global processes for consistency worldwide.
• Serve as a strategic partner to global and regional business leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in controllership, consolidations, and financial analytics, preferably within professional services or market research.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting standards.
• Experience with global ERP and consolidation platforms.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a global, multi-entity environment with complex structures.
