Contract Trainer for Operations Management, Data & AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the success and motivation of learners in Operations Management, including Data & AI.

• Provide coaching and support to learners within the Flipped Classroom model.

• Promote active engagement with learning materials and their practical applications.

• Encourage discussions and knowledge sharing through creative formats.

• Foster a positive learning and working atmosphere.

• Assist learners in individually completing assignments as part of project work.

• Evaluate project work.

• Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the product.

• Conduct remote teaching from a home office.

• Analyze and enhance operational processes and performance.

• Prepare analyses and reports, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

• Lead and develop teams in data-centric environments.

• Implement KPIs in performance management and facilitate feedback and development discussions.

• Manage resources effectively to ensure operational stability.

• Conduct forecasting, scenario planning, data-driven capacity planning, and risk management.

• Assess options for action and make informed decisions regarding make-or-automate strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in German, the primary training language (C2).

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in Operations Management.

• Extensive practical experience in Operations Management, daily operational oversight, and data-driven analysis and optimization of business processes.

• Degree, vocational training, or equivalent qualification in Business, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in Jira, Microsoft Office—especially Excel and PowerPoint—Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, and/or Gamma.

• Significant experience in everyday operational management.

• Ability to prioritize based on available data, make decisions under time constraints, and navigate incomplete data and escalation scenarios.

• Practical experience with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar applications.

• Understanding of the opportunities and limitations of AI in operational settings, along with essential legal and ethical considerations.

• Provide an overview of projects in which AI tools were utilized in Operations Management, including brief descriptions of the tools used and their applications.

• Experience in analyzing and optimizing operational processes and performance through KPI systems, root cause analysis, and systems thinking.

• Capacity to identify interfaces, dependencies, and potential misinterpretations of data.

• Experience leading and developing teams in data-driven environments.

• Familiarity with KPI-based performance management, conducting feedback and development meetings, and effectively managing conflicts and resistance.

• Experience in resource management and ensuring operational stability, particularly in forecasting, scenario planning, data-driven capacity planning, and risk management.

• Ability to evaluate options for action and make well-founded make-or-automate decisions.

• Several years of experience as an online trainer in adult education (preferred).

• A diverse range of methods and tools in training methodology and instructional design (preferred).

• Experience applying innovative approaches to engage learners (preferred).

• A New Work mindset and enthusiasm for experimenting with new learning technologies (preferred).

• Strong communication skills and a passion for teamwork (preferred).
