Contract Trainer for Operations Management, Data & AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the success and motivation of participants in their learning journey.

• Providing support and guidance to learners as a coach within the flipped-classroom model.

• Promoting active involvement with educational content and its practical implementation.

• Encouraging knowledge sharing through creative formats.

• Overseeing learners’ individual tasks on assignments related to project work.

• Evaluating project assignments.

• Assisting in the ongoing development and enhancement of the product.

• Conducting remote teaching from a home office setting.

• Analyzing and refining operational processes and performance metrics.

• Preparing analyses and reports, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

• Leading and nurturing teams within data-centric environments.

• Implementing KPIs in performance management and facilitating feedback and development discussions.

• Managing resources to ensure operational consistency.

• Engaging in forecasting, scenario planning, data-driven capacity planning, and risk management.

• Assessing courses of action and making informed make-or-automate decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in Operations Management.

• Exceptional proficiency in German, the training language (C2 level).

• Significant practical experience in Operations Management, including daily operations management and data-driven analysis and optimization of business processes.

• Degree or vocational training in Business, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a similar qualification.

• Proficiency in Jira, Microsoft Office—especially Excel and PowerPoint—Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, and/or Gamma.

• Extensive experience in daily operational oversight.

• Capability to prioritize based on available data and make decisions under time constraints.

• Professional demeanor when handling incomplete data and escalation situations.

• Practical knowledge of generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar applications.

• Understanding of the possibilities and limitations of AI in operational settings, including fundamental legal and ethical considerations.

• Submission of a project overview demonstrating the use of AI tools in Operations Management as part of the application.

• Experience in analyzing and optimizing operational processes and performance using KPI systems, root cause analysis, and systems thinking.

• Skill in identifying interfaces, dependencies, and potential misinterpretations of data.

• Experience in leading and developing teams in data-driven environments.

• Familiarity with KPI-based performance management and conducting feedback and development meetings.

• Professional approach to conflict resolution and managing resistance.

• Experience in resource management and ensuring operational reliability.

• Background in forecasting, scenario planning, data-driven capacity planning, and risk management.

• Ability to evaluate options and make informed make-or-automate decisions.

• Several years of experience as an online trainer in adult education is a plus.

• A comprehensive range of methodological and instructional strategies would be advantageous.

• Experience in implementing innovative methods to engage learners actively would be beneficial.
