Contract Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Become a Platform Software Engineer as part of a client team.

• Take charge of cloud access and identity management.

• Oversee a significant portion of the client's infrastructure-as-code.

• Manage permissions and access across the cloud environment.

• Implement new tools alongside the existing infrastructure.

• Administer shared infrastructure utilized by multiple teams.

• Execute careful change management and governance processes.

• Remove obstacles for teams that depend on shared infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the EU and be able to work within the GMT timezone.

• Strong, practical experience with AWS, especially IAM, IAM Identity Center / SSO, and AWS Organizations (mandatory).

• Proficiency in Terraform (mandatory).

• Experience with Terragrunt is highly preferred.

• Background in managing shared, high-blast-radius infrastructure.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD, including OIDC federation to cloud providers.

• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar.

• Some experience with Python or JavaScript for scripting purposes.

• Strong commitment to clean engineering practices, including testing and reliability.

• Capability to utilize AI tools to enhance work and utilize sound judgment in adopting new technologies.

• Multi-cloud experience is an advantage.
