This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop original exam-style questions and corresponding answer explanations for UWorld's digital MCAT Biochemistry question bank.
• Produce educational materials in both digital and print formats, such as video lecture slides and scripts, educational flashcards, biochemistry and Chemistry review books, study guides, and other curricular resources.
• Ensure that all content is accurate, comprehensible, and adheres to relevant MCAT content specifications and educational goals.
• Utilize effective instructional strategies to simplify complex scientific concepts for student understanding.
• Evaluate and enhance existing content by integrating editorial and subject-matter insights.
• Address content feedback and implement revisions to uphold accuracy, precision, and instructional quality.
• Collaborate remotely with editors, illustrators, and other content professionals during the development and review phases.
• Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of UWorld's proprietary educational resources.
• A Master's degree or higher in Biochemistry, Biological Chemistry, or a related biomedical science discipline; a PhD is preferred.
• Proven experience in writing, editing, or reviewing academic or instructional content.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• A minimum of 2 years of scientific research experience.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Preferred experience in writing multiple-choice questions, answer explanations, or test-preparation materials.
• Preferred experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or educational content creation.
• Familiarity with the MCAT and its content specifications is preferred.
• Preferred experience in developing educational materials for digital learning platforms.
• Strong subject-matter expertise in biochemistry.
• Excellent scientific writing and editing capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, student-friendly explanations.
• Capability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively.
• Openness to feedback and an ability to incorporate revisions successfully.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and common digital collaboration tools.
