Continuous Improvement Manager – FI

📋 Description

• Oversee and assist Focused Improvement initiatives that are in line with network and enterprise goals within the Industrial Engineering center of excellence.

• Collaborate with manufacturing sites to recognize, prioritize, and eliminate persistent losses related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.

• Examine multi-site manufacturing data to detect trends, loss opportunities, and improvement priorities across various facilities.

• Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies such as Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control; Statistical Process Control; and Design of Experiments to achieve sustainable improvements.

• Mentor site leaders and cross-functional teams in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Unified Problem Solving, Work Process Improvement, Value Stream Mapping, loss trees, and root cause analysis.

• Create financial justifications for optimization initiatives and capital projects, including return on investment and cost-savings validation.

• Contribute to cross-site initiatives aimed at enhancing line performance, throughput, labor utilization, and equipment effectiveness.

• Work together with other Manufacturing Excellence pillars to ensure alignment, share best practices, and avoid duplication of effort.

• Aid in the development of enterprise toolkits, playbooks, and standardized processes that facilitate knowledge transfer across the network.

• Collaborate with senior Focused Improvement leadership to evaluate, prioritize, and justify network-wide improvement and capital opportunities.

• Report progress, results, and insights to site leadership and senior management audiences.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.

• 7+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering or continuous improvement within a manufacturing or supply chain context.

• 4+ years of experience in leading teams, programs, or large-scale initiatives in manufacturing.

• Proven experience in driving Total Productive Maintenance-based continuous improvement initiatives in a plant setting.

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing continuous improvement programs that yield measurable, scalable value.

• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships.

• Strong financial acumen, including the ability to develop project cost justifications and capital evaluations.

• Experience in presenting complex information to large audiences, including senior leadership.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI for analysis and visualization, and other relevant systems.

• Practical experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Unified Problem Solving, and Work Process Improvement tools.

• Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping, line balancing, Statistical Process Control, and Design of Experiments.

• Manufacturing plant experience in leading and supporting continuous improvement across various loss areas.

• Willingness to travel 60% or more to manufacturing sites depending on project requirements and proximity to plant locations.
